The farm has over 20 buildings with solid foundations, running water, plumbing, septic, electric, and internet. Although very beautiful and rich in history, most of the buildings need varying levels of renovation. And, we have plenty of bamboo on the land and fallen trees, as well as select trees we will cut, to make posts and boards to construct homes and structures with.
Construction Basics
The land has been surveyed, and most lots contain trees that can be cut into wood planks for building. Additional materials can be bought from in town, 20 minutes drive. There is plenty of bamboo on the property, and we have friends who are highly skilled in constructing with it.
Plot Size
The exact size will vary, but each plot is approximately 2,000 square meters. Some might measure 40 x 50 meters, others 30 x 65 meters, and so on.
That said, the majority are around 2,000 square meters.
When you purchase a plot, you also gain access to all the shared spaces within the property, including orchards, an amenity area, a restaurant, a swimming pool, a temazcal, an event space, a gym, a yoga deck, chicken coops, an agricultural area, and all the trails within the natural reserve.
Additionally, there is a group of plots highlighted in blue on the map that measure 1,300 square meters. These are located closest to the main estate area and are almost entirely flat.

You may choose to use traditional or bio toilets.
Water Hookup
The farm already has plumbing and running water, and plenty of water, with multiple streams. Every private homestead will have access to fresh running water.
Electricity
This historic coffee plantation was created over 100 years ago, and has a low-tech water-powered turbine that used to power all of the electricity needs of the coffee machinery and the entire property.
We plan to restore it all, which shouldn’t be that technically challenging. For now, we get unlimited electricity from the hydro-electric plant next door (which used to belong to this property, and was kept in the last purchase of the land, as seen as the small sliver going up the middle of the property.
